Many of you may have exprienced issues when trying to download files from our website the psat few weeks and there is a good reason. Microsoft recently released an update for it's Microsoft Edge browser. The update allows files such as Word documents, PDF's, Excel spreadsheets, and Powerpoint presentations to be viewed right in your browser. While this sounds like it would be a great thing, it has caused the issues that are happening across our website such as: 1) Certain formats of Word documents do not display in the Edge browser (DOCX). When you click on them a page opens up with what appears to be "gibberish" DOC extensions work fine but have size limits which several of our downloads simply do not meet. 2) Powerpoint presentations on our website are large and simply give error messages when you click on many of them. 3) Other known issues have been documented in Google Chrome and other browsers That being said, in the coming days the pages of our website will be updated with new download links. When you click on them, the functionality will be exactly the same as it was previously. You will be allowed to view, print and download and you won't need any additional software on your computer or smartphone. A few things will be tweaked during the migration but when it is finished it will be more user friendly. All downloads (old and new) for a particular sport will be in one area, not two. If you want to see it in action, take a look at the "Baseball" or "Softball" section. They are now complete! I appreciate your patience thru this process. If you haven't been here in a while, I invite you to take a look around and see all of the content available. Dozens of video links and sports related information have been added as well as photos from the recent Basketball Playoffs! I also invite you to follow SAOA on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube). There you will find information on rules changes, news articles, videos, and other SAOA related content. I plan to grow these channels of communication to aid in our recruiting, keep you informed, and to help you be better officials. UPDATE 5/17: Links have been updated in the following sections: Baseball, Football, Softball, Soccer, Lacrosse, Volleyball and Wrestling. Basketball is complete with exception of the 2012-2018 pages in the resources area. Once these are finished, the link updates will be complete. So far the functionality of everything has exceeded my expectations and I hope you all like it too. One Week Remaining For Don Kitts Nominations! Time is running out to submit your nominations for the 2019 Don Kitts Award. Please nominate individuals who have made an impact upon your officiating career.. Submissions are only open for one more week! The deadline is next Monday, April 1, 2019! Please email your submissions to Robert Edwards, SAOA President at rledwards@saoanc.org . File Downloads Not Working...
